Supplied unfinished as standard, it is ready for onsite finishing to suit your preferred style. For long-lasting performance, a minimum of three coats of a suitable finishing product should be applied to fully seal the door. A weather bar is also recommended at the bottom to provide additional protection.

Important Care & Maintenance Information:

• Sheltered Installation: To preserve its quality, this door must be installed in a sheltered area (porch, canopy, or recess of at least 1.5m) to protect it from direct sun and rain. Failing to do so will affect its durability and invalidate the guarantee.
• Marine Environments: Not suitable for properties within 5 miles of a sea front due to the high levels of moisture, salt, and harsh atmospheric conditions.
• Extreme Heat Exposure: Avoid installation in areas with intense sunlight or enclosed glass porches, as excessive heat can cause shrinkage or cracking.
• Finishing Recommendations: Ensure the sealant contains UV protection to prevent sun damage. Clear finishes often lack UV protection—check with your finishing supplier before application. Avoid dark colours, as they absorb heat and may lead to excessive shrinkage or cracks.
• Ongoing Maintenance: Regular cleaning with warm water and detergent every two years is advised, along with reapplying finish as needed to maintain protection. If any cracks, scratches, or shrinkage lines appear, reseal immediately to prevent moisture damage.
